The following services are offered:

Duplication

Duplication involves taking an existing gun stock and duplicating it from a stock blank. Services include inletting, checkering, finishing, and recoil systems.

Checkering

Checkering involves creating ornate patterns on the gunstock. Original creation of checkering patterns is all done by hand–no machines or lasers are used. Options include 18 to 32 lines per inch and bordered or non-bordered checkering. Custom graphics and designs with relief work are available upon consultation.

Refinishing

Refinishing a gunstock essentially means restoring the exterior finish. There are 2 options available. The first includes 5 to 15 coats of spar varnish in high gloss or satin, finished with hand-buffing. The second finish involves hand-rubbed oil. How many coats of oil or varnish depend on the age of the wood and other factors.

Re-Checkering

Re-Checkering involves replicating ornate patterns on the gunstock. Replication of original checkering patterns is all done by hand–no machines or lasers are used.

Recoil Systems and Adjustable Pads

Recoil systems and adjustable butt pads can be installed on your gunstock. Brands used include Graco, Thompson Thru Hull, and Isis, but other brands can be installed as well.

Grind-to-fit Recoil Pads

Custom fixed and grind-to-fit recoil pads can be installed on your gunstock. Brands used include KICK-EEZ and Pachmayr.

Restoration

Restoration involves taking a worn gun and not just making it look new, but giving it a handmade customized finish. Services include stripping, crack and chip repair, re-checkering, and refinishing. Your choice of finish includes: satin, high gloss, or hand-rubbed oil.

Repairs

Repairs may not affect the functionality of your gun, but will ensure the gunstock is aesthetically sound. Services include brass pinning, crack repairs, wood restabilization, and scratch damage to finish.
